INDIAN MOVIES THAT WONT DISSAPOINT YOU!!

The pandemic has given us abundant time to discover the mystical world of the movies.

Most of us have explored movies and tv shows in other languages, and some of them have left us speechless.

While some went ahead to disappoint us to almost regret us to have wasted our tome on a particular film or series. There were some of us who went ahead and reminisced our memories through a couple of films we had watched over a time, they have made us nostalgic, enthusiastic, and emotional all at the same time.

That’s when you know you have watched a film that did not disappoint you then, and isn’t disappointing you now.

I would like to recommend some of such films that I have personally loved watching them again and again!

This is purely my selection of films, you may like them or may have a completely different understanding, which is totally acceptable. So, here we go!!

3 IDIOTS

This movie will never get old, the story is impeccable and almost so relatable that whenever you watch it, you may tend to cry, whether when Farhan’s Dad appreciates him to be a wildlife photographer or the moment where Raju gets his job, well, the most emotional moment for me was when Rancho leaves the graduation day without a goodbye.

This is a movie which celebrates friendship in the most normal way there is. The music is spectacle and the direction is almost flawless.

There is nothing filmy about this one, it is what life is, perhaps it is why its loved by millions.

This is a must watch!

DHOOM 2

This is for all the action and drama lovers. (well, it includes me )

This is the second installment in the Dhoom Franchise. While there are 3, but this one is definitely the one which stood out the most! I remember being completely blown away by Hrithik Roshan when he steals the crown of the Queen, I mean that was so good! everything you need is in this film, be it thrill, style, romance, action, and a classic police chase.

There are catchy songs, great direction and great background score as well which makes this a definite watch!

BARFI

Whenever there are times, I think of a film where I know that I am going to get applaudable performances and great storyline and also soulful music, there is one which pops up right away, Barfi!

When barfi falls in love with Shruthi but is left heartbroken, he is set onto to a journey with an unfamiliar girl, Jhilmil with whom he starts to share a special bond.

The film follows a comedic journey of Barfi, who is thrown into different situations either because of him or Jhilmil.

There is something about thus film that never tends to disappoint. I am not revealing much because if you haven’t watched it yet, go ahead and do it now!!

HERA PHERI

If you are looking for a classic comedy in the Indian cinema then this is the one to go, it is perfect for a time you feel like refreshing yourself from all the workload you may have or any such tensions.

This is an unmissable shot of hilarious comedy with a storyline so neatly tied up that you feel engrossed in the film, there are several memorable moments that are almost unforgettable if you love the movie! How 3 different people having a very similar wish in life end up in a chaotic aura of greed and need of money.

There is another edition to this film which you can check out if you like the first one.

It is a continuation of their comedic journey.

DON

If you love SRK this must have been in your top favorite performances of him.

It is a cinematic experience almost unmissable if you love thrillers or drama in your films. This is a magnanimous journey of notorious DON, the king of the underworld drug dealers In Malaysia.

It is a movie based on the villain of the fairytale, there is nothing but great acting, style and direction that makes it one of the most cherished movie of that time.

There will be a time where you find yourself so thrilled and excited by each moment of the film, as there are mind baffling moments of reveals throughout the film.

This is a classic cat and mouse chase, only here the mouse is way more equipped than the cat!

RAAZI

This has been one of my favorite patriotic feminist film ever.

The reason I say that is because of the journey that the main lead goes through. It is so underrated in terms of the story, where a young woman gives up her life to serve the nation in ways, she knew it won’t be applauded or recognized, alongside fulfilling the emotions of her father who himself works as a spy for the Indian government.

It is a beautiful journey of bravery, acceptance and selflessness that makes it so relatable to the journey of every young woman whether she serves the country or not.

It doesn’t shake you at all the moments but there are scenes that will forever stay with you.

ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA

What a film this is! Every time I watch it there is a feeling that takes over my soul and makes me feel alive more than ever.

This is a must watch with all your friends as it celebrates life and its challenges in the most Suttle way. I know most of us do say that the luxury to travel around a country is not achievable by us, and the problems showcased are also ‘high society’ problems, but trust me, when you see this film without any prejudice, it is worth your time.

How one of the three friends is rushing in today’s world to get to the top, and in the journey has lost the essence of life. On the other side a young man who is free spirited but has inhibitions about his own personal life, his relation with his father, and how that unravels.

It is fun yet so fulfilling that you end up loving it to utmost sense.

There it is, my list of some of my favorite films that I can watch numerous number of times and still love it the same! There are several more but, for now this is it!
